You try to back down a little more on the max speed pot to slow it down some more.
-
What seems to be the issue with treadmill?
-
Dave, Its really a toss up, both units are about the same so which ever one is in better condition.
-
First you need to install the safety key on treadmill, its normally a red key with a magnet attach to it and will have a black cord attach to it . What model treadmill do you have? most treadmills will need a safety key to operate.
-
Does it just trip the breaker on treadmill or does it trip breaker in house, If the breaker in house is a GFI circuit. Most treadmills can not run on a GFI circuit.
-
Good luck with your purchase.
-
Have you adjusted the max speed pot just a little during calibration.

Is your outlet in the room good, also do you have the safety key install onto console?

I would recommend that you lube the belt and deck at least once a year. https://www.treadmilldoctor.com/walking-belt-lube-instructions

What seems to be the problem you are having with your treadmill? You can replace the motor brushes if can find them, otherwise you would have to replace the entire drive motor.

Barb, It sounds like a short somewhere in the lower board or console, but those parts are no longer Available to purchase since that company is out of business. Sorry I can't help you out any more.
-
I wouldn't know the cost , that's something you would have to ask life fitness.
-
I would test the drive motor with either a cordless drill battery at least 12 to 18vdc. You can also use a old car battery needs atleast 12vdc output and see if motor will spin. If motor runs when hook up to battery then its in the lower board.
-
If its the lower board you would have to send that into life fitness for repair. Those parts are NLA to purchase.
-
If you have the serial number I will be able to help you out a little more, but by the sounds of it, you may be looking at a lower electronics assembly.
-
I think you have a issue with your upper console, if You have the complete model number off your Treadmill I can see if those are still available.
-
I just e-mail it over to you, so I hope this helps you out.
-
Maybe any where between $100 to $150 and its about 8 yrs old.

Sounds like your console is bad, and the price on that part is $479.99 and part number is 247670.
