Unable to control speed for viewpoint 2800

My nordictrack viewpoint 2800 treadmill no longer allows me to change the speed or incline. Even after unplugging the machine the treadmill will run but only at a single speed around 8mph.

    check all the buttons on the console. They should all beep when pressed. if not, that console is most likely the problem
