Bodyguard T460X Foot rails

Hello, I am replacing the walking belt, which I purchased from The Treadmill Doctor, on my Bodyguard T460X and I cannot get the foot rails to slide off. I used a rubber mallet to try to help slide them but nothing. Anyone have any experience with this older model. Thanks.

    I would spary under the siderails with a wd40 because the side rails slide off and they may be stuck due to age and sweat.
