Tread mills motors

If your using a tread mill for something other than normal walking on, will they run continuously for hours? days? weeks? Basically it would be running with out any load on it. I don't know if the motor would heat up after a while or if something else would cause it to die.

    The belt should be lube every 6 months of use.

    How do I get the plastic "motor fan" off the end of the shaft on a Leili P/N L-314571 Proform electric motor? Do you apply even pressure to the back side and it slides off?

    Sometimes it held on with a clip also.
