NordicTrack EXP 1000 replacement belt

I replaced the belt on my treadmill, but it is about twice as thick as the old one, so it rubs on the return guide (underneath the rear roller), making a loud, rasping noise. The belt was purchased from this site - fits perfectly... but.

Any remedies available?

Only thing you can do is shave down the plastic so belt does not rub.

That's about what I expected, but was hoping there might be something... simpler .

No because you most likely has a 1 ply belt on unit and then purchase a 2 ply belt from us.

That explains it - didn't know enough to check! Thanks again - back to trimming.
