NordicTrack C2255 Troubleshooting help
Hello docs-
Just bought a house with a home gym that has an old NordicTrack C2255 Space Saver treadmill. I was messing with it trying to use it... so when i plug it in or flip the switch on the base, the screen lights up, it beeps once then immediately gives a multi beep. It repeats the multi beep every 20 seconds or so and none of the buttons respond except to play that same multi beep.
My wife was messing with it while I was standing on it and - once, and only once - it turned on when she hit the 10 mph button (go figure) but I haven't been able to recreate the circumstances.
I'm fairly handy with electronics, and I've now tried:
• Unplug and replug
• The switch on the base
• Jiggling and repositioning the magnetic safety key
• Doing the above while standing on the safety rails instead of the belt
• Plugging in the loose wires with the red multipin connector that I found zip tied to the small cover plate in the center of the console's underside
• Checking YouTube videos
• (Following the checking of YouTube) Taking apart and checking the console/circuit board (which resulted in me splitting completely through the thin green ribbon connector, disabling the whole left side including the Enter, Up, Down, Fan (ffs) and all the incline buttons - I know, I know - but they were working before and I was still having this issue)
Let me know if anyone has any insight and/or a solid source to fix or replace what I broke for cheap. Thanks!
