Star Trac ETR belt rubbing
Greetings all, I'm new to the forum and haven't been able to locate a thread to help. (of course I'm an old guy and my interweb search skills are somewhat lacking, so I'm sure it's "user error")
I recently purchased a Star Trac eTR treadmill. I have had it running in the garage to test it out and everything on it seems to work great. The only thing missing is the heart monitor (?) that attaches to your chest, but the hand grips will record your heart rate.
This week I was able to convince the son in law to help me move the behemoth to an upstairs bedroom. I took everything off that I could, including the motor in order to lighten it sufficiently so the 2 of us could get it up the stairs. I put it all back together and when I turned it on and started walking the belt began rubbing on the base. The motor mount has a bolt that adjusts the tension, which I marked before I took the motor off. I put it back in the same location. What could have caused the belt to now rub on the base?
Could the rollers loosened up on the way up the stairs? I used a hand truck to help get it up the steps so there was some pressure on the back roller. I just didn't want to go adjusting anything without asking first. NOTE: the belt did not rub when I was using it in the garage.
Thanks for any help.
Joe
