X22i belt issues

Looking for some help diagnosing an issue.
I have an x22i I bought second hand.
It was a recent purchase as I have an x32i I love and thought I’d get a second one but the smaller screen for my wife.
Since buying it from the woman the belt has been slipping.
I’ve done everything under the sun, I’m lubricated the belt, I’ve messed with the tension bolts both front and rear.
It feels like I get it close but it still skips and does it at varying speeds.
My gut is I need to replace the motor as the walking belt and pulley belt looks relatively new.
But I’d love someone’s opinion.
I obviously ran it through chat gpt it gave me a bunch of solutions including replace the motor, but gave me no way to diagnose.
Also for bonus points, if I do need to replace the motor could I literally just buy an x32i motor and put it in there for the extra juice? Or could I buy a motor and motherboard from an x32i and jam it in there?
