Nordictrack 2450 NTL17219.1 Running Deck - 2 Broken in the last two years

Hello, I have had two running decks break in the last two years, I weigh 185 lbs. and run about 5 miles a day, is this a quality control problem? I am waiting for a replacement deck. I suppose I should replace the drive belt as well as the walking belt this time around, any other suggestions to prevent this issue or any other maintenance I should be doing this time around as well?
