Nordictrack slow down and stop

My Nordictrack C700 is not working right. It stops while I am walking on it but when I step off it will start again. It happens at slower speeds. I replaced the tread and now it won't start at 1 MPH, I have to crank it up to 3 MPH to get it going, then it gradually slows down and stops with no weight on it. Is the motor shot on this?

this is a failed motor controller. can you get me the specific model number of the c700?

Been 4 weeks since I ordered the part and still haven't received any shipping info. I got one email saying it had to be ordered from the manufacturer and it was estimating 2-3 weeks.

I received the part finally, and installed it this weekend, but the treadmill problem remains. The tread won't move until the speed gets up to 2.5, and then it will either slow down and stop or it will fluctuate speeds. I have lubed the tread, I have tightened and loosened the rollers, nothing helps. And is there a return policy on the motor control board as it doesn't appear to be the problem?

According to https://www.nordictrackfitness.com.au/support/incline-trainers/SpeedCalibration2 , treadmills with touchscreen, like mine, can not be calibrated for speed.

there are 2 small potentiometers on the motor controller. Locate the one that is labeled "tach". Turn it about 1/8 of a turn and then try the machine.

I only found one thing that would turn, a small yellow screw. I tried it both ways but nothing really helped. The tread will run with no weight on it, but will slow down and stop when I step on it. I have lubed it, I think it is tightened properly. So frustrated by now.

I got the new controller and it still hasn't fixed the problem. I was working on it this morning and had it moving a little at 2 MPH, got it going steady at 4 and above, and then it just stopped. A couple minutes later I got it to move again, and when it hit 4 I started to smell smoke. There was white smoke coming from the motor. Turned off, unplugged. Maybe it is the motor after all.
