Does my treadmill belt needs to be lubricated
I have a NordicTrack Commercial ZS treadmill and in the user manual its states and I quote:
OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT
THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT
Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking
belt or the walking platform. Such substances will
deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive
wear.
I have had the treadmill since 2009 and only recently been using it believe it or not. I don't have any issues with it, but was wondering about lubing the deck. In the user manual there is NO Maintenance section and nothing about lubing the deck periodically, except what I stated above.
I tried calling Nordictrack but was on hold for ever.
