C700, hardly used, just stopped working.

Hello all - new to the group

We bought a C700 on sale a few years back, and it's probably got less than 50 km's on it, so it's safe to say it's hardly been used. One of those things that gets bought with good intentions then sits in the basement room,,

Anyway, went to use it today, and it just doesn't work, didn't start up or anything. The panel shows 2 red lights, nothing else is lit up and it makes a groaning sound, before you even hit start on it. Nothing works, no incline/decline, no readouts nothing. Just 2 red horizontal bars on the display.

Unplugged it, toggled off/reset button a few times, let it sit & plugged back in, nothing. Sometimes when magnet it put on a couple of zeros briefly flash up, then disappear, leaving the 2 red light.

Also as soon as the magnet is engaged it makes the groaning sound. The belt turns freely just walking on it, so it's not stuck etc. Pressing the button combo to reset incline does nothing, pressing anything emits a beep, whether or not magnet is engaged.

I know it's out of warranty just due to its age, but wondering what could have gone wrong with it with such little use

Hoping someone here has some suggestions, what might be wrong etc. A search has turned up little, and the troubleshooting in the manual is of no help.

    please check to make sure all wires are securely plugged in inside
    make sure there is no crimping in the wires

    It could be that the lower board is not sending voltage to the console and the only way to know this is if you have a voltmeter and can test the red wire & the black wire.
    You should have anywhere from 8vdc to 12vdc on those two wires.

    If you have that voltage then the console is bad.
    If you do not have the voltage then the motor controller is bad.

    (You need to check for volts DC on the black and red wires for the 8-12V. This is like checking voltage on a battery....as opposed to checking voltage on your wall outlet in your house. The logic board converts from the 120V AC from your wall outlet to the 8-12V DC to go from the logic board to the treadmill motor.)
