nordicktrack t9si problem after reset.

I have just bought a nordicktrack t9si. When I press reset, the console lights up for a few seconds, then goes blank. I insert the red safety key and i was expecting the display to light up as per instructions but nothing happens.

Am i being really dumb? Anyone experienced this or know of any solutions?

    Is this a brand new treadmill, if so i would contact nordictrack.
