Belt stops running but keeps counting distance

I have been using an Image 16.0QS for almost 20 years now. It was working fine but I've finally encountered an issue. The display powers on fine. I select speed and push start...the belt will move for a split second before stopping. The display continues counting, but the belt does not move any more. Any ideas?
