My tread mill is over 10 years old. The touch controls seem to work when room is hot, but not when the room is cold. Question, do these units have an issue with cold-solder joints? Should I check wiring connections and re-solder if needed?

    touch controls can be very sensitive to temp and humidity changes. The problem is most likely in the membrane itself. The membrane is not available without the whole console and at 10 years, it may not be available either. I can check if you can get me the specific model number of the 9700.
