Tunturi T40 powers on but doesn't start running

I have used a Tunturi T40 for years. During the winter there's a lot of static electricity buildup while using the treadmill, a couple of months ago I had a static discharge when I was touching the control panel to stop the treadmill. It froze and stopped responding but seemed fine after power off/on.
I've continued using the treadmill, but after that incident it would take a minute or two after power on until the control panel responded to button presses. A couple of weeks ago it stopped responding completely, I can no longer start the treadmill. No error messages.
Any ideas?
