Nordictrack C990 Front roller issue

Hello! I’m just replacing my treadmill belt but I can’t seem to get my front roller to get back into position. When I attach the drive belt to the pulley it just pulls the roller up but I can’t see anyway to keep it down in the bracket. I don’t think it’s supposed to be floating there but there is no screw or bolt to keep it in place… help!!

    I would first tighten running belt down so it pulls roller down into bracket, then install the work drive belt onto motor pulley.
