Old Spirit SR195 - Fixed Blown Fuse, then continues to Blow!

I was walking last week on this old treadmill and it just stopped. Thankfully, I was walking slow. My son took the ceramic fuse and Amp switch to read on his meter. Fuse was blown. I ordered new fuses.

When I put the new fuse in, the 2 red lights turned on the circuit board / lower board by the motor, and the upper control board turned on. As soon as I hit the start button for the treadmill to turn on, the ceramic fuse will blow, and the red light on the lower board by the motor will go out.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Hello!

It is probably friction problems from the belt - older treadmills need regular belt maintenance to keep the load draw from being too heavy...
