NT 1000 randomly shuts off or stops

It stops working after anywhere from 1 minute to an hour. sometimes we only have to push the start button to get going again, and sometimes it needs to be hard-rebooted. That randomness eliminates thermal issues on the MOBO or the power supply. It's a 2nd-hand purchase.
Any thoughts?

    have you had time to perform any maintenance on the treadmill such as lubing the belt?
