Treadmill motor stops - has arcing in motor
I have a ProForm C950 treadmill. It has a 2 HP permanent Magnet DC motor. When I run it at higher speeds it runs smooth for a short time (with no person on it) and then arcing starts in the motor (I see the blue flashes). It then turns off without tripping the breaker. It can be restarted right away and does the same thing again. Any suggestions? I was going to try to lube the tread (which has never been done) but it seems like the motor is the problem. It hasn't been used much in last year or so.
