Pro form 540 LS belt & motor stops after extended use

The motor was checked with a 12V battery and seems to work fine. If it is left powered OFF for a while and then turned ON it works for a while (~40-50 mins) then just stops. Display board stays active and running. Incline motor works fine....
How can I tell if it is the Controller board or the power board?
