Proform 625 will not get up to speed!

Have a Proform 625, and when it starts up, everything works great, but it won't go above 1mph. Even if I set it to 10mph, it won't go up at all.
Any thoughts as to what may be the issue? Thanks

    So the speed on the console will increase but the motor speed will not, sounds like a lower motor controller.
