Recalibrate old smooth treadmill

I have an old (probably 20 yrs old) Smooth 5.1HR treadmill and I believe I need to recalibrate it, specifically the ramp incline leveling system. When it tries to lower the ramp (ie, make it steeper), it tries to move the lifters too far, pressing into the bottom case. When trying to raise the platform (ie, make it flatter), it only lifts it about 1/4 inch. I believe all that's needed is to recalibrate the beginning/end stops for the lift motor, but I cannot find a procedure documented. I've seen things for other Smooth treadmills on this site, but none of them work for my model. Does anyone have a procedure for this museum piece?
